WELCOME TO MY STORY

"Hayley knows exactly what she is talking about and it shows. I am going to recommend her to everyone I know."

(Happy Parent)

So if I had to go back to the beginning for you to understand why I do this it would be to start as me being a child! Which seems ridiculous now but I was a very particular child about going to the toilet and can still picture a little me checking out toilets to see if it was ok to stay in a place!

Roll on to me working with children in their homes, nurseries and running my own childcare business I seemed to have a different out look about potty training to most- I want to say this though early on in my career  there was no training for supporting children with potty training or how to help families that hit challenges. However I had an instinct with every child I potty trained to use their personality and strength to apply it to learning a very important skill.

After many hours and I mean many hours of research I found that there is conflicting support, lack of understanding about the process and definitely parents and childcare provisions working against each other- with the child in the middle getting older and older not being potty taught- yes its a skill we need to teach and guide them to get to the end result- happy and confident without nappies.

I am also a mum that has been there worrying if now is the right time, have I got the time and how do I potty train my children who have completely different personalities? If I'm being completely honest I felt so much pressure especially as I had to put my money where my mouth is!

So now I dedicate my time and passion to families to helping them ditch those nappies with confidence and completely child centred- I didn't say child led but the child is at the centre of my approach.

As I have delved further into the world of toileting I have found that potty training can be complex for some, childcare provisions are in need of training to support parents, parents lack confidence to do it the "right way" and nappies are so good now they confuse our children's instincts!

I am on a mission to help children learn how to be independent with toileting and support parents to teach their children an important life skill with confidence!
